Summer Allergy Season Tips

This year June 21 marks the official start of summer, but if you are allergic to grass pollen, mold and mildew spores or weed pollen your body may have already signaled summer’s arrival.  These symptoms can at first seem like a cold.

The stuffy nose, cough, watering eyes, and sneezing can all resemble cold symptoms.  But a cold generally lasts 5 to 10 days and is gone.  Allergy symptoms can last as long the irritant is around.

Depending on where you live the last weed pollen can hang around until the first frost in December.  That’s probably not what you wanted to hear, but it’s true.

There’s nothing to be done about the pollen outdoors.  Moving won’t help because spores can be blown for miles from where they originated.  And it’s not possible to stay indoors all the time.  So a management strategy is essential.

Stop the air exchange between indoor and outdoor air.  Use air conditioning and keep windows closed regardless of the temperature outside. Keep car windows closed as well as the vent to outside air.

Keep filters changed on the return for the central air conditioning system.  Isolate clothes and shower immediately when coming in from outside.  This will help reduce the amount of pollen that is introduced into your indoor air.

Use HEPA or high efficiency particle arresting air purifier to remove the seasonal allergens as well as the chronic indoor irritants that can combine to create havoc with allergies.

PurerAir.com offers the Hay Fever Air Purifier that can send 250 cubic feet of fresh clean air into your home every 60 seconds.  See it now at http://purerair.com/hay_fever_air_purifier.html

Allergy Solutions

Since there is no known cure for allergies, the solution is to play the hand you’ve been dealt by doing the best job you can to minimize the effect they have on your life.

One of the most effective ways to reduce the symptoms allergies can cause is to reduce your contact with them.  That is difficult outside, but inside minimizing the triggers is totally do-able.
Using an air cleaner that can take out a wide range of triggers is the makes the most sense.  Many of the well-know triggers are particles that can range from those you can see to those that are invisible to the unaided human eye.
It makes sense to have multiple filters that can deal with this wide range of sizes and one that can also remove gaseous pollutants as well.
The Allergy Machine Air Purifier from PurerAir.com has 3 filters for particles including a HEPA or high efficiency particle arresting filter that can remove airborne particles that are .3 microns or bigger in size.

This air cleaner also has carbon cloth that gives additional protection against particles because it is woven like a cloth and protection against gaseous pollutants because it’s made of carbon.

Let the Allergy Machine Air Purifier send 250 cubic feet of fresh clean air into your home every 60 seconds starting today.

Got Summer Allergy Problems?

If you suffer from allergies in the summer, being miserable from the heat and allergy symptoms can pack a double whammy. Here are 3 tips for getting relief.

Choose Outdoor Times Carefully---Weed pollen can cause allergy symptoms to kick into overdrive. Dry windy days generally have more pollen in the air, so choose indoor activities. Make your plans based on what the forecasted weather conditions and the pollen count. The air is probably clearest after a heavy rain because the pollen has literally been washed out of the air.

Take Precautions With You---If your allergies are severe enough for you to have fast acting or preventive medications that have been prescribed by a physician, be sure to take them along with you when you are traveling even for short periods of time. These can benefit you physically if you need them, but they also give you great emotional comfort knowing that you can effectively handle a flare up should you need to.

If your allergies are not severe enough to have prescription drugs, seek the advice of your local pharmacist for over the counter drugs that can give you relief fairly quickly. Make sure you carry these as a permanent fixture with you in the car, pockets, or purse.

Eliminate Chronic Indoor Allergens---Indoor allergens are often a chronic source of irriation for those with allergies. Things like dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores, pet dander, as well as seasonal pollens can keep allergy symptoms as a constant.

Clearing these allergens out of the air with continuous HEPA filtration is an essential part of any effective allergy management plan. Not only will this remove the constant barrage of indoor allergens, but will remove those that will continue to infiltrate your home from outdoor air throughout the year.

Effective Allergen Air Purifier

If you need the most efficient air cleaner to remove allergy and asthma triggers from your indoor air, you need a unit that can remove particles efficiently as well as gases, odors, and chemicals.

Common indoor particulate triggers include household dust which is usually a combination of dust mites, mold and mildew spores, atmospheric dust and dirt, pet dander and hair, and bacteria and viruses.

Gaseous pollutants in your space often include smoke from cooking or tobacco products, exhaust fumes, and chemicals that off-gas from furniture, as well as personal and cleaning products.

Particles are best removed by a type of filter called a high efficiency particle arresting filter. Often abbreviated as HEPA, it is designed to remove 99,997 out of every 10,000 airborne particles that are .3 microns or greater in size. This covers virtually all of the particulates mentioned above.

The unit should also contain filters that can trap particles that are way bigger than .3 microns so that the HEPA is only used to filter microscopic particles. The filters that act as the first line of defense are known as pre-filters and are made of a cotton-ball like fabric.

Having pre-filters in a unit will increase the filter life of the HEPA. And the pre-filter can generally be replaced for under $50.

For gaseous pollutants carbon is well known for its ability to remove chemicals. Straight carbon is only good for gaseous pollutants. And for allergies, the more filters for particle removal the better. So the best of both worlds would be a particle-removing filter made of carbon.

Carbon cloth in a purifier offers the best of both worlds. Because it is made of carbon it is excellent at removing gases, odors, and noxious chemicals. But because it is woven like a cloth, it gives additional protection from particles.

PurerAir.com offers a cleaner with 4 filters for particles, including carbon cloth. Let it help you effectively remove allergens from your indoor air 24 hours a day.

Seasonal Airborne Allergies

If you suffer because of pollen that is produced by trees, grasses, or weeds, there is a good chance that you can struggle with symptoms year round.

Depending on the climate where you live, tree pollen can start as early as January, and weed pollen can last until the first frost in late November or early December.

There is nothing to be done about the pollen. That’s nature’s way of replenishing the earth. And moving from one location to another is not likely to help very much since the wind can take pollen hundreds of miles from its origin.

The best thing you can to do is pick your times to be outside during peak seasons, and make your indoor air a haven. Filtering your air indoors continually is the most proactive and non-invasive way to keep air quality high while the pollen is raging outdoors.

The best type of filter to eliminate particles like pollen is a HEPA or high efficiency particle arresting filter. By definition it must be able to remove 99,997 out of every 10,000 airborne particulates that are .3 microns in size or larger. This includes pollens and there’s more good news.

This type of filter really doesn’t care about the source of the particulate, only the size. That means that more usual pollutants such as dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores, pet dander, and bacteria and viruses can all be eliminated.

PurerAir.com offers a stand-alone allergy air purifier that has a medical grade HEPA as well as 3 other filter for particles. It contains a large and medium particle pre-filter. These keep the filter for microscopic size pollutants from filling up unnecessarily.

The canister of filters in the unit also contains carbon cloth which gives dual protection. Because it is made of carbon it can eliminate gases and odors which can also trigger allergies. And because this filter is woven like a cloth, it gives additional protection against airborne particulates.

Particle Filters And Allergies

If you suffer from airborne allergies that are triggered by dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores, pet dander and seasonal pollen, the best way to reduce symptoms is to avoid the triggers.

Since most of us spend more than 90% of our lives indoors, and most indoor spaces have some if not all of these particles in the air, avoiding them is nearly impossible.

What you can do is continually filter the air with an air purifier that has multiple filters for different sized particles. Since indoor particles come in different sizes multiple filters will add longevity to life of your filters. Counting on one filter to remove all particles and last a long time is unrealistic.

The fact is that the more filters you have the longer you can expect filtration to be effective and the less maintenance the unit is likely to need.

Several size pre-filters, a HEPA or high efficiency particle arresting filter, as well as carbon cloth that can eliminate particles and gases is a winning combination in a filter for allergies.

PurerAir.com offers an air cleaner with these 4 filters, low maintenance, and a 5-year prorated filter warranty. See it now at http://purerair.com/allergy_machine.html

Effective Allergy Air Purifiers

In order to remove the allergens that most often trigger symptoms, a purifier must have filter that can eliminate a wide range of particles, and one that can also take out odors, gases, and chemicals.

A cleaner with one or no filters can’t possibly do all of this. What is needed is a cleaner with multiple filters. The filters for particles should contain several that can take out large and medium size particles.

These particles that you can see can easily be trapped by large and medium size prefilters. As their name suggests, that are the filters that come first and prevent the filter dedicated for microscopic particulates from filling needlessly.

A HEPA or high efficiency particle arresting filter must be a part of the filtration process if minute particles such as pet dander, dust mites, bacteria and viruses are to be removed.

HEPA filters by definition must be able to remove particulates as small as .3 microns with 99.97% efficiency. The benefit of that efficiency for you is that for every 10,000 airborne particles, it will remove 99,997 of them leaving only 3. This will literally keep the dander down so that levels never rise high enough to trigger symptoms.

Carbon cloth is one of the best types of filters to have in an air cleaner for allergies. Because it is made of cloth is a natural filter of particles; and because it is carbon based it is also able to remove gases, odors, and chemicals.

PurerAir.com offers an air cleaner that uses all 4 of these filters in the filtration process. As a result it has helped thousands who suffer from allergies take back control of their lives.

It can help you gain control of your allergies too. See it now at http://purerair.com/allergy_machine.html

Asthma and Allergy Relief

If you struggle with chronic asthma and allergies symptoms are probably triggered by a combination of irritants.

There is so much “stuff” in our air today, and because our homes and offices are so well insulated there is often no way to naturally expel pollutants.

Cleanliness has some effect on the amount of indoor allergens you will have, but there are some pollutants that are present regardless of how clean the indoor space is kept.

Typical allergens found indoors are dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores, pet dander, bacteria, and viruses.

Indoor air is also subject to outdoor allergens that make their way in through doors, windows, attached to packages, on hair and on pets.

Typically in the spring it is tree pollen, then in summer grass pollen, and in late summer and fall weed pollen, particularly ragweed causes problems.

Between the indoor and outdoor irritants it can really feel like there is no place to go for relief. Using an air purifier that is specifically designed to remove both indoor and outdoor irritants from your air, you can take back control of your life.

PurerAir.com offers a 4-stage filtration cleaner that is designed to remove particles as small as .3 microns in size. And because it is designed to run continually, the allergen level is never allowed to reach a level that is high enough to trigger an attack.

Natural Allergy Relief

Managing allergies with natural remedies is the least invasive way to decrease symptoms.

Despite all the modern technology and studies, most agree that still one of the best ways to gain control of your life despite allergies is to avoid the triggers.

Minimizing exposure to outdoor allergens can be done by staying informed about irritants and pollution levels and planning outdoor time accordingly.

Indoor air quality is much easier to control and one of the best ways to do it is by continually filtering the air.

Not only does this take out typical indoor allergens such as household dust, dust mites, pet dander, bacteria and viruses, but can also remove those allergens that are blown in from the outdoors such as seasonal pollens, and mold and mildew spores.

Most allergies are triggered by a combination of particles and gaseous pollutants, so in order to avoid them, the filter that you choose must be able to eliminate both types.

A HEPA or high efficiency particle arresting filter combined with pre-filters, and carbon cloth can effectively eliminate the irritants that are most often responsible for flare ups.

PurerAir.com offers an air purifier that contains all of these filters. See it now at http://purerair.com/allergy_machine.html

Natural Allergy Relief

Being able to manage allergies naturally can be a huge physical and emotional advantage. Going natural can also save time and money. There are many ways to start, principally knowing and avoiding the allergens that trigger problems.

However, if the irritants are airborne, avoiding them is easier said than done. There are allergy shots that can be given that gradually reduce sensitivity to your specific triggers.

Acupuncture is now being recommended and used successfully in many cases to desensitize the body to allergens. Using various herbal supplements and honey that is local to your area are also methods that may yield success.

But one of the most natural ways to deal with airborne allergies is still to avoid the trigger. And the most reliable and non-invasive way to handle this indoors is by continually filtering the air to keep allergens to a minimum.

The best type of filter for eliminating airborne particles is a high efficiency particle arresting (or HEPA). By definition this type of filter is required to remove 99.97% of particulates that are .3 microns or greater. This includes the most common allergy triggers including dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores, pet dander, and seasonal pollens.

Using a portable filter that you can control and take with you wherever you go gives you total control over what’s in your air. And with allergies, control over the air gives you control of your life.

Minimizing Your Allergy Symptoms

If you suffer with allergies because of airborne triggers, it can be tough to survive the season that triggers your allergies.

But whether you suffer from tree, grass, or weed pollen in the spring, summer, or fall minimizing your symptoms can not only make you feel better, but can give you a psychological boost as you turn the proverbial lemons into lemonade.

Find out for sure what your triggers are. You can keep a journal and look for patterns that will help you narrow the list of possible suspects. In addition, get professional help by sharing your journal with an allergist.

You can also get concrete proof by getting tested for sensitivity to various irritants. This involves being injected with small amounts of allergens to see what and how severely your body reacts.

Be consistent about avoiding the outdoors at peak times for your allergens. You can keep abreast of how much and what is in your air with the daily pollen count found online at various weather sites, through national weather channels, and in your local daily paper.

You can also make your indoor area a haven by continually removing airborne irritants such as pollen, dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores, pet dander as wells as gases, odors, and chemicals.

The Allergy Machine from PurerAir.com is one of the best ways to minimize your allergies and can improve your lifestyle in a proactive yet non-invasive way.

Managing Airborne Allergies

The first step in managing allergies and the symptoms they cause is to know which allergens are triggers for you. And regardless of whether they are found indoors or outdoors avoiding them is one of the best strategies.

Many outdoor allergens are seasonal such as tree, grass and weed pollens. Others may persist all through the year such as certain types of molds.

Indoor triggers are generally the cause of chronic allergies because they are always present. They include dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores, and pet dander.

Once you know what triggers your symptoms outdoors, plan your days so that you are outside when the allergen levels are lowest. One of the best ways to reduce the number of indoor irritants is to filter the air.

This is best done with a HEPA (or high efficiency particle arresting) filter. This type of filter is designed to remove 99,997 out of every 10,000 particles that are .3 microns or greater. 24-hour filtration will greatly reduce the number of airborne particles in your air and can reduce the severity and number of symptoms you experience.

Household Allergy Machines

The air in the average household is 20 times more polluted than the outdoor air. This occurs largely because as technology allows us to insulate our home more efficiently, there is less of an opportunity for air exchange. As a result this traps normal indoor pollutants such as dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores, pet dander, bacteria and viruses.

Our ability to insulate so thoroughly from the outdoors is a double-edged sword. It allows us to control our environment to a point, but also causes the level of indoor pollutants to continue to increase. Heating and air conditioning filters are often not effective enough to keep particulate levels low enough to keep air quality high.

The increased number of particulates often exacerbates allergy symptoms and can even cause the onset of allergies and asthma. And for those who already suffer from acute or chronic respiratory problems, the polluted air can cause symptoms that range from irritating to debilitating.

And even if opening the doors and windows were a possibility, you would simply be exchanging air and not necessarily reducing pollutants. For example, during pollen season in your town, opening the doors and windows would add tons of allergy triggers to your indoor air rather than reduce them.

The most efficient and effective way to minimize indoor allergy triggers is to filter the air with a HEPA (or high efficiency particle arresting) filter. Designed to remove 99,997 out of every 10,000 particles as small as .3 microns, this technology has been proven to be best solution for those with allergies.

PurerAir.com offers a 4-stage HEPA allergy air purifier that has helped thousands of allergy sufferers make their homes havens from airborne allergy triggers. Our purifier also contains carbon cloth that gives an extra level of protection against particulates.

Ragweed Pollen Allergy Management

Ragweed, as its name suggests, is a weed that grows in the summer and begins to send out pollen around August 15.

Pollination continues until the end of October and in many areas into the beginning of November when the first frost shuts it down.

This little nondescript plant sends out over one billion pollen granules which send hay fever sufferers running for cover. If you are one of those sufferers, you are not alone. Millions and millions of people suffer from fall allergies which can range from slightly annoying to causing weeks of misery.

Moving to another city won’t help because the pollen is so light weight and can travel for miles with the wind. Planting different plants in the garden won’t help for the same reason. But creating a safe place inside your home and office will.

HEPA or high efficiency particle arresting filtration has been proven to be best at removing fine particles like pollen from the air. Having an air cleaner that can run 24 hours every day 365 days of the year can eliminate not only pollen but other more usual particulates found in the home.

And since dust, dust mites, mold spores, and pet dander often serve as secondary triggers for allergies, taking them out of the air is a good idea and can only make the air healthier to breathe.

Air Purifier for Allergies

If you have allergies that stem from airborne triggers it can be tough to avoid them. If they are seasonal triggers such as tree, weed, or grass pollen you can pick your outdoor times carefully and minimize your exposure.

But if the triggers are household irritants such as dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores, the problem is tougher to handle.

Indoor allergy triggers won’t go away unless you take action to make them go away.

So rather than continually treating the symptoms, continuous HEPA (high efficiency particle arresting) filtration will greatly reduce the number of airborne triggers available for you to inhale or ingest.

Think about how fun life could be if you didn't always have anxiety about your allergies.

PurerAir.com offers an air cleaner that uses a 4 step filtration process to eliminate airborne triggers that cause the most problems. Designed to run 24 hours a day, it is constantly working to make sure that the irritants are minimized and are never allowed to build to a point that would be likely to trigger a flare up.

Using constant filtration as a part of your allergy management plan may allow you to decrease the amount of medication you use because by eliminating the irritants, you eliminate the symptoms.

So regardless of whether your allergies are triggered by seasonal pollens and outdoor irritants or the ever present indoor pollutants, PurerAir.com has the allergy air purifier that can help.

Airborne Allergy Relief

Most people who have been tested to pinpoint the triggers of their allergies know that it is generally a combination of things that trigger their attacks. It can be a sensitivity to household irritants such as dust mites or pet dander; for others it can be mold and mildews spores, and household dust, and reactions for these indoor irritants can be further exacerbated by seasonal triggers such as tree, grass and weed pollen.

Fortunately, there are many over-the-counter medications and prescribed drugs that your allergist can provide for relief. But many of these come with side effects that cause you to ask which is worse—the symptoms or the side effects.

That’s why using the Allergy Air Purifier from PurerAir.com is a proactive yet non-invasive solution to the problem. It’s like having your cake and eating it too. You eliminate the cause of the symptoms (the airborne triggers) rather than treating the symptoms once they start to cause problems.

The Allergy Air Purifier provides 24 hour relief by first having a split capacitor motor that allows it to safely and efficiently filter the air 24 hours. The HEPA or high efficiency particle arresting filter removes allergy triggers as small as .3 microns with 99.97% efficiency.

And since odors such as smoke and chemical smells can also trigger allergic reactions, this purifier also contains military carbon cloth that was originally developed by the British Military to combat chemical warfare!

So if you want relief from airborne allergies to last longer than a time-released capsule can provide, see the allergy air purifier that can provide relief 24 hours a day every day without the side effects at http://purerair.com/allergy_machine.html

Allergy Relief That Works

Spring is a great time of year if you’re not allergic to pollen. If you are allergic to things that bloom in the spring, this time of year can make you feel like crawling into a cave. But with a good management plan, you can successfully navigate through the season with fewer and less severe symptoms; and maybe even with your sense of humor in tact.

Unless you live at the space station it’s hard to avoid coming in contact with the allergens that are thick in the air right now in the great outdoors. For those times when you know you can’t avoid the triggers, explore some of the over-the-counter medications such as Zyrtec and Claritin. You’ll know pretty quickly whether they make a difference for you. If your allergies are more severe and are not controlled by these medications, an allergist can recommend other more effective options.

But if it’s true that your home should be your castle, during allergy season it should be your sanctuary—a place that is safe from allergy triggers, and gives you time to rejuvenate both physically and emotionally.

To do that you need to continually filter your indoor air with an air cleaner that contains a high efficiency particle arresting (or HEPA) filter that by definition can remove airborne particles like pollen down to .3 microns in size. And since many allergies are triggered by a combination of allergens, HEPA filtration will also remove airborne triggers such as dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores, pet dander as well as bacteria and viruses.

If there was an air purifier that could remove all of these airborne allergens and make your home a comfortable place for you to be, would you want to know about it? Well there is such a purifier. See it now at http://purerair.com/hay_fever_air_purifier.html

HEPA Air Purifiers and Allergies

HEPA air purifiers are best at removing fine and not so fine particulates from the air. HEPA is a shorter way of referring to a high efficiency particle arresting air purifier, and is the same technology used by hospitals to insure clean air.

Their highly efficient cleaning capability is defined as 99.97% efficiency down to .3 microns. So how do these purifiers help those who suffer with allergies?

Many of the allergens that send allergy sufferers’ bodies into overdrive with sneezing, coughing, congestion, runny noses, and watering eyes are fine airborne particulates. They include but are not limited to pollen, pet dander, mold and mildew spores, household dust and dust mites.

All of these allergens range from being relatively large and visible to sub micron in size and invisible. Some of them like household dust are easily seen on furniture and floors once they have fallen from the air. Other lighter allergens are invisible because of their sub micron size and can remain in the air for a longer period of time making them much more likely to be inhaled or ingested.

Using an air purifier to constantly reduce the number of allergens in the air provides constant relief for those who suffer with allergies, asthma, and other respiratory conditions that are aggravated by the presence of these allergens in the air.

And when allergies are seasonal, having an indoor space that is a clean space, virtually free of the offending allergen makes your home or office a pleasant place to be even when the outdoors is not.

As its name suggests, the Allergy Machine Air Purifier is a HEPA air purifier that is able to provide relief from allergies whether they are triggered seasonally, or are more chronic in nature because of indoor pollutants such as mites and dust.

Recommend by allergists as an important, non-invasive tool to have for allergy management, you can see a video of this HEPA air purifier at work now at http://purerair.com/allergy_machine.html

Air Purifier for Spring Pollen Season from PurerAir.com

Well it’s officially spring! And spring tree pollen won’t be far behind. This year why not let an air purifier for spring pollen help you enjoy the season?

The Hay Fever Air Purifier from PurerAir.com is designed to remove the tree pollen that will inevitably get into your home on shoes, clothes, briefcases, pets, and through the doors as you come and go.

If you are allergic, it goes without saying that during tree pollen time you leave the windows closed and use cooling or heating to keep the temperature comfortable. But what do you do about the pollen inside your home?

This year you can answer that by saying “What Pollen?”. Designed to clean airborne pollutants as small as .3 microns, it easily traps and eliminates pollen for good as pollen is a relatively big allergen and sizes range from 2 to 100 microns.

The good news is that not only will the Hay Fever Air Purifier remove spring tree pollen, but grass pollen in the summer, and weed pollen in the fall.

It will also eliminate normal household pollutants such as household dust, mold and mildew spores, and pet dander which can all be further irritants for allergy and asthma sufferers.

The Hay Fever Air Purifier cleans 1500 square feet sending 250 cubic feet of fresh air into your home every 60 seconds. It is guaranteed for 5 years, and the filter life is 5 years as well.

Designed to run 24 hours a day every day, your air is constantly being filtered so that pollen and other allergens are removed before they can accumulate enough to cause a flare up. And just knowing your air is safe means a lot.

Yes, spring has arrived, but that doesn’t mean you have to suffer with pollen and hay fever. Call PurerAir.com now at (800) 997-2989 and ask for the Hay Fever Air Purifier. Make Spring 2009 a great spring and ask for the air purifier for spring pollen that will literally put the spring back in your step.

Take good care, and Happy Spring!
