Breathng Easier With Pets

If you have warm-blooded pets and notice that you are experiencing congestion, stuffy noise, watering eyes, and a cough that won’t go away, you may be experiencing pet allergies.  Basically, your body is objecting to and trying to eject one of the most potent allergens known---pet dander.

Because pet dander is sticky it can and does latch on to other particulates in the air such as household dust, dust mites, airborne mold, and mildew spores.
Since these are the typical particles that are found in indoor air, it gives dander frequent opportunity to be inhaled and trigger symptoms.
There are a number of things you can do to help you breathe easier, but probably the least invasive and most effective (and takes the least effort) is to filter the air.  Dander is microscopic in size so a high efficiency particle arresting (HEPA) filter is essential in order to make the most difference in air quality.
This type of filter is designed to remove 99,997 out of every 10,000 particles that are .3 microns or greater in size.  Not only will it remove the dander from your pet, but the other particulates to which it attaches.
That means that if your allergies are triggered by other irritants such as seasonal pollen it will eliminate those as well.  This is important because most people who are allergic are sensitive to a variety of allergens.  So the more allergens a filter can remove the cleaner the air and the cheaper the cost.
The Pet Dander Air Purifier provides 4-stage filtration including a medical grade HEPA.  Designed to run 24 hours while sending 250 cubic feet of clean air into your home every 60 seconds, it is the best way to help you breathe easier and enjoy your pets too.

Salon Air Filters That Work

Deena called yesterday and said she really needed to do something about the air in her salon.  She said her lungs hurt.

20 years of doing hair and unless she does something pretty soon, it will be almost impossible for her to work anymore.

Her salon is attached to her home and she says when she does perms, color, or Brazilian Blowouts the smells come into her home, even when the door to the shop is closed.
Working with salon products that off-gas volatile organic chemical (VOCs) fumes are tough on the body.  The nose, lungs, eyes, and throat all know that and scream it by burning, watering, become dry, and just hurting.
A heavy duty purifier with an activated carbon filter is what is needed to effectively eliminate the chemicals in the air.  A potassium iodide additive will enhance the carbon’s ability even more and allow it to remove even more of these chemicals.
The symptoms of these chemicals are bad enough, but the long term effects are pretty scary.  Consider that once the body has absorbed these chemicals, it is up to the liver to try to get rid of them.
This makes a ton of extra work for the liver every day.  Now multiply that by years of breathing chemicals in a salon every day, and you can understand why it is urgent that you take action.
See the salon air purifier that is specifically designed to remove volatile organic chemicals from the air now and send for the Beauty Salon Air Purifier from PurerAir.com now at http://purerair.com/beauty_salon_purifier.html

Spring Pollen Covers All

Pollen is coating everything, walkways, cars, lawn furniture, and you even if you keep moving.  If you are allergic it may seem hard to escape these tiny, relentless granules.

Just walking to the mailbox and back can cause you to have your shoes, clothes, and hair covered with a light coat of the stuff.

And so the sneezing, coughing, congestion and watering eyes begin.

The point is that however careful you are about keeping outdoor air separate from indoor air, some pollen will get in.  No reason to lose sleep over it, but there is plenty of reason to take proactive yet non-invasive steps to minimize the amount in your indoor air.
Opening the windows is the last thing you want to do, so what is necessary is to the filter your indoor air.  The cleaner that you choose for the job needs to be incredibly effective at removing particles, pollen in particularly, but other indoor particulates in general.
Studies have shown that most people who are allergic are sensitive to a number of allergens, many of which hang around in indoor air regardless of the pollen count outside.
The best type of filter to have for particle removal is a high efficiency particle arresting (HEPA) filter that is specifically designed to remove particles that are .3 microns or bigger.  That makes it a winner for removing tree, grass, and weed pollens as well as dust mites, mold and mildew spores, pet dander, and just regular old household dust.
The more filters the unit contains the better.  Because even though the HEPA can remove microscopic particles, it would fill up pretty fast on big particles if it was the only filter working.  The solution for more efficient cleaning (and less money out of your pocket) is to have additional filters that can trap the big particles while saving the invisible ones for the more expensive HEPA.
The Hay Fever Air Purifier does just that.  It has a 4-stage filtration that contains 2 pre-filters for big particles as well as carbon cloth that can remove both particles and odors.  These filters are in addition to the high efficiency filter.
Put this cleaner to work for you now to prevent pollen from derailing your life.  See it now at http://purerair.com/hay_fever_air_purifier.html

Solution For Cockatoo Dust

The owner of an Umbrella Cockatoo wrote in for information about an air purifier that could help with the bird dust.  He wrote:

I own an Umbrella Cockatoo. The dust is unbelievable like a snow storm. I've tried different types of air filters and didn't make a dent in the dust. I need a filter system that will keep the dust down and not get clogged every other day. If I can't find a filter my wife is going to have the bird for dinner. Please help and suggest the best filter system for the job.

Even though it’s a funny email, you can hear the frustration about the dust. The Cockatoo Parrot is a powder down bird like Cockatiels and African Greys.  The dust is a natural part of their growth and development and will always be a part of your life with them.  Nothing will completely remove all of the dust, but here is my response to him.

I would recommend the Bird Dust Air Purifier for the white dust your Cockatoo is producing because it is designed for particle removal. It has a 4-filter canister of filters including a HEPA that will remove particles as small as .3 microns. This purifier is especially good for dealing with powder down birds such as Cockatoos, African Greys, and Cockatiels.
We send this unit to aviaries, and although it will not remove 100% of the particles (nothing will),it will remove 99,997 out of every 10,000 that are .3 microns or larger.  And that means it will go a long way towards convincing your wife to have something else for dinner!

Pet Odor Air Purifier

There are two types of pet odor.  One is just an individual smell that every animal produces.  This can be a result of sebaceous gland secretion, or the latest thing they've dragged through outside.

Then there is straight up urine odor.  And because of the ammonia it emits, urine is eye-watering at best.

Either of these odors or both combined are bad news when you open the door of your home to family and friends, particularly if they are not animal people.

As pet owners we are way more tolerant of these smells because of the love and affection our pets give to us.

But wouldn't it be nice not to have to choose between a clean smelling home and an otherwise wonderful pet?

Continuous filtration with an air cleaner that has a carbon filter that is designed to remove urine odor is the way to go.

Carbon is renowned for its ability to remove odors, and with an additive that is designed to remove ammonia it is the best solution to the problem.  Because urine is hard to get rid of completely, and often the spot itself is difficult to locate, there is likely to always be some trace of urine in the air.  This is particularly true when the humidity level rises.

The Pet Machine Air Purifier from PurerAir.com offers a canister of filters for particles and urine odor.  We continue to send it to groomers, kennels, and breeders across the country.

If it works for them, it will surely work for you!  See it now at http://purerair.com/austin_air_pet_machine.html

Pets And Indoor Air

If you’ re like me, until you have opened your heart and your home to a pet, you just don’t get what all the fuss is about.

But if you love a warm-blooded pet (such as a dog, cat, bird, bunny, or ferret) you understand that there must be a workable solution that allows you to enjoy your pet without sacrificing healthy air quality.

All warm-blooded creatures shed dead skin cells to make way for newer healthier skin that is better able to protect its body from disease and infection.

This dander is a potent allergen that can exacerbate allergies, asthma and other respiratory conditions and can also cause the onset of asthma and allergies where none existed.

Keeping the air clear not only provides a healthy lifestyle for humans but for pets as well.  Birds, for instance, have incredibly small air passages and air that is thick with dander and other airborne particles can clog their air passages and shorten their life span.

The best way to clear the air continuously and reliably is to filter the air with a high efficiency particle arresting (HEPA) filter.  This type of filter is designed to remove airborne particles that are .3 microns or larger with 99.97 efficiency.

The benefit of this type of filter is that it does not care about the source of the particles.  So even though you may be most concerned about the particles from your pet, there are other common indoor particulates that are also present and can cause problems.

These particles include common household dust, dust mites, seasonal pollen, mold and mildew spores, as well as airborne viruses and bacteria.  Being able to take out all of these pollutants is the best solution for pets and humans.

PurerAir.com offers the Pet Dander Air Purifier that can clean 1500 square feet 24 hours a day every day.  See it now at http://purerair.com/pet_dander_air_purifier.html
