Spring Pollen Covers All

Pollen is coating everything, walkways, cars, lawn furniture, and you even if you keep moving.  If you are allergic it may seem hard to escape these tiny, relentless granules.

Just walking to the mailbox and back can cause you to have your shoes, clothes, and hair covered with a light coat of the stuff.

And so the sneezing, coughing, congestion and watering eyes begin.

The point is that however careful you are about keeping outdoor air separate from indoor air, some pollen will get in.  No reason to lose sleep over it, but there is plenty of reason to take proactive yet non-invasive steps to minimize the amount in your indoor air.
Opening the windows is the last thing you want to do, so what is necessary is to the filter your indoor air.  The cleaner that you choose for the job needs to be incredibly effective at removing particles, pollen in particularly, but other indoor particulates in general.
Studies have shown that most people who are allergic are sensitive to a number of allergens, many of which hang around in indoor air regardless of the pollen count outside.
The best type of filter to have for particle removal is a high efficiency particle arresting (HEPA) filter that is specifically designed to remove particles that are .3 microns or bigger.  That makes it a winner for removing tree, grass, and weed pollens as well as dust mites, mold and mildew spores, pet dander, and just regular old household dust.
The more filters the unit contains the better.  Because even though the HEPA can remove microscopic particles, it would fill up pretty fast on big particles if it was the only filter working.  The solution for more efficient cleaning (and less money out of your pocket) is to have additional filters that can trap the big particles while saving the invisible ones for the more expensive HEPA.
The Hay Fever Air Purifier does just that.  It has a 4-stage filtration that contains 2 pre-filters for big particles as well as carbon cloth that can remove both particles and odors.  These filters are in addition to the high efficiency filter.
Put this cleaner to work for you now to prevent pollen from derailing your life.  See it now at http://purerair.com/hay_fever_air_purifier.html

Controlling Pollen Indoors

If you are allergic to seasonal pollen, you know that inevitably it will get into your indoor space.

There are some things you can do to keep the levels to a minimum in your home, and still feel like your home is a place where you can breathe clean air.

Parking indoors can make a huge difference. This keeps a lot of pollen from settling on the car, going into the car, and up your nose.

If you’ve been outside a lot during the day, you can use a mud room to remove clothes and shoes leaving them outside of the main living area. Then take a shower to wash the rest of the pollen from your skin and hair.

Even though you do these things, there will still be a considerable amount that comes in on other family members and pets. Pollen is tenacious stuff.

Filtering the air with a cleaner that is specifically designed to remove this allergen is one of the best ways that you can keep amounts low not only throughout peak seasons but all during the year.

Managing Hay Fever Symptoms

Hay fever is not caused by hay nor is accompanied by a fever. This term was coined at a time when there was less knowledge about this condition which usually occurred during fall harvesting of hay.

Today, due to extensive research and studies, we know that this condition can happen anytime during the year and symptoms include irritation and swelling of nasal and sinus tissues making it hard to breathe.

Watering eyes, runny nose, and coughing from post nasal drip all combine to make this a miserable condition at best.

In the fall this condition is most often triggered by airborne weed pollen from ragweed, curly dock, lambs quarters, pigweed, plantain, sheep sorrel and sagebrush. The pollen is light weight and there is more in the air on dry windy days.

There is nothing you can do about what’s in the air outside, but you can drastically reduce hay fever symptoms while indoors by eliminating the pollen from the air in your home and office. Removing triggers from the air means avoiding the allergen, and that is still one the best, most non-invasive ways to mange allergies.

A HEPA or high efficiency particle arresting filter is literally just what the doctor ordered. Used in hospitals to insure clean air, this type of filter is almost always a part of an allergy management program that doctors' recommend.

This type of filter is able to remove 99.97% of particles that are as small as .3 microns in size. Pollen is quite a bit larger that .3 micron, so it and other more normal household triggers such as dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores, pet dander, bacteria and viruses are also easily removed.

Don’t let the fall season make you miserable again this year. See the Hay Fever Air Purifier from PurerAir.com that has 4 particle filters (including the HEPA), and let it clear your air continuously. See it for yourself now at http://purerair.com/hay_fever_air_purifier.html

Hay Fever Air Filter

If you suffer from hay filter you are most likely allergic to pollen from trees, grass, and/or weeds as well as mold and mildew spores.

Many people are sensitive to only one, but if some combination or all of them are trigger allergic responses; you can miserable from April through November. Life is too short to spend on the defensive.

An air filter is a great proactive and non-invasive step to gain control of the situation. The best type of filtration is one that is specific to particles of many sizes.

This is helpful because most people are allergic to a number of allergens, and choosing a filter that can handle them all solves the problem with the least amount of money and aggravation.

HEPA or high efficiency particle arresting filters are designed to remove not only seasonal pollens but other indoor allergens that just never go away---dust, dust mites, pet dander. To be designated as a HEPA, it must remove particles down to .3 microns in size.

Having a unit that continually filters the air means that allergen levels are never allowed to increase to a level that make you miserable or worse. 24 hour filtration also means that there is less for you to clean off furniture and the floor, and there’s no down side to that.

Sagebrush Allergies

Fall is allergy season for millions of people in the United States alone. August 15 is the unofficial beginning of the season and because most people are usually allergic to ragweed pollen, not much is heard about sagebrush.

But the fine black seeds from sagebrush can be just as difficult to live with for people with sensitivity to it. Like ragweed, it is a weed that grows in the summer and begins pollination in the fall and continues through the first frost.

It grows as a bush with woody stems and the foliage remains silvery green throughout most of the year. It can grow as high as 7 feet, and produces yellow or creamy white flowers in mid August. Pollination can send out as many as a million incredibly tiny black seeds into the air in a single season--all available to be inhaled.

This can lead to hay fever symptoms that include runny nose, watering and itchy eyes, post nasal drip, congestion, and coughing. And even though you can’t control the pollen count outside, you can control your air quality inside.

PurerAir.com offers an air purifier that can remove all kinds of airborne triggers from your home and office regardless of whether it is weed pollen in the fall, tree and flower pollen in the spring, or grass pollen in the summer.

Don’t let Sagebrush and hay fever spoil your fun this fall. See the medical grade high efficiency particle arresting (HEPA) air purifier that can improve your life now at http://purerair.com/hay_fever_air_purifier.html

Ragweed Pollen Allergy Management

Ragweed, as its name suggests, is a weed that grows in the summer and begins to send out pollen around August 15.

Pollination continues until the end of October and in many areas into the beginning of November when the first frost shuts it down.

This little nondescript plant sends out over one billion pollen granules which send hay fever sufferers running for cover. If you are one of those sufferers, you are not alone. Millions and millions of people suffer from fall allergies which can range from slightly annoying to causing weeks of misery.

Moving to another city won’t help because the pollen is so light weight and can travel for miles with the wind. Planting different plants in the garden won’t help for the same reason. But creating a safe place inside your home and office will.

HEPA or high efficiency particle arresting filtration has been proven to be best at removing fine particles like pollen from the air. Having an air cleaner that can run 24 hours every day 365 days of the year can eliminate not only pollen but other more usual particulates found in the home.

And since dust, dust mites, mold spores, and pet dander often serve as secondary triggers for allergies, taking them out of the air is a good idea and can only make the air healthier to breathe.
