Does Your Neighbor Smoke?

If you live in an apartment that is beside, above or below someone who smokes, you know first hand what an awful problem it is.

The neighbor feels that he or she should be able to smoke in their own home, the landlord is probably unable or unwilling to go to the expense of stopping the smoke from traveling to places it shouldn’t, and you’re left with an apartment that smells like you smoke.

Smoke, including second-hand smoke is unpleasant and unhealthy. Children are especially vulnerable to this kind of pollutant because many of their systems are still developing.

Keeping the air fully oxygenated and free of pollutants is crucial to maintain the good health of all who live in your home.

An air purifier that can remove second hand smoke and other odors is the best way to keep your neighbor’s smoking from ruining your health and that of those who live with you.

Managing Bird Dander Problems

Bird dander can be a huge issue for those who have opened their home to pet birds. All warm-blooded animals including birds shed dander.

These invisible flakes of dead skin are a continuous and necessary process for making way for newer, healthier skin.

In the wild this dander dissipates into the air without becoming an air quality issue for birds. But in captivity there is no place for these particulates to go.

After months of shedding the air in your bird’s room and in your home will literally become thick! So unless you develop a plan for actively removing from the air, it can cause huge health issues for both you and your birds.

Bird air passages are tiny, so it doesn’t take much to clog them. Once they are clogged, disease and infection often set in. Because birds instinctively do not show symptoms of weakness until they are close to death, sickness often cuts their lives short.

People who suffer from allergies, asthma, and other respiratory conditions often find the increased level of particulates cause their condition to worsen to the point of not being able to tolerate a bird in the house. And even people who have not previously had problems can develop a sensitivity because the dander levels are so great.

You can keep all who live in your home healthy by actively filtering the air with a high efficiency particle arresting (or HEPA) air purifier. Not only will this remove particles that your bird generates, but other normal household irritants as well including dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores.

Air Filter for Kennels

Kennel air is subject to huge number of particulates and odors. Hair, dander, and odors that range from vomit to urine are all part of life at a kennel.

But if your kennel is to remain fresh-smelling and healthy for its 2 and 4-legged clients, continuously filtering the air is the only solution.

HEPA or high efficiency particle arresting filters can remove airborne particulates as small as .3 microns. And carbon filtration is excellent at removing odors and gaseous pollutants. PurerAir.com offers a heavy duty portable air purifier that has both types of filters.

Purer Air continues to supply professionals such as Wags and Wiggles Dog Day Care, Friends of Pep Dog Shelter, Mutt Madness, Marquis Professional Grooming, Japa Kennel, Sandra's Cat Sanctuary, and the Dog Wizard to name a few; and the list is growing. That's because it simply does the job!

Chemotherapy Home Air Purifier

Undergoing chemotherapy greatly reduces the immune system’s effectiveness in dealing with germs, bacteria, viruses and hence infections. This can temporarily cause immune deficiency. And many of these pollutants that the body has increased susceptibility to are airborne.

Normally with a strong immune system the body is able to render these airborne particulates harmless. But with chemotherapy weakening your immune system, bacteria and viruses often use these airborne particles to attack you as you breathe in the air that contains them. So by eliminating airborne particulates you are able to greatly reduce airborne viruses and bacteria.

At a time when keeping the air as clean as possible is imperative to your health, the most efficient way to maintain clean air is to filter the air with a high efficiency particle arresting (HEPA) filter.

In order for a filter to be designated as a HEPA, it must have been tested and proven to remove 99.97% of airborne particulates as small as .3 microns with 97% efficiency. This means that for every 10,000 airborne particles in the air 99,997 of them will be eliminated.

Golden Retriever Pet Dander

If you have a Golden Retriever in your life, I'm sure you know how lucky you are every day when you come home to that wagging, beautifully feathered tail, and happy face.

They are super intelligent, loyal, and are show-stopping elegant dogs; and their coats are magnificent in any color!

However, they do shed, and many of them shed a lot. Not only do they shed the hair that you can see (everywhere), but the small flakes of dead skin---dander.

This is a natural part of their growth and will continue all through their lives (and yours). You can do a number of things to lessen the dander in your home. They include regular bathing, brushing, proper diet, and any vitamins and/or supplements that can keep their skin in good condition.

Unfortunately, regardless of how well you manage your Golden’s skin, there is still going to be dander in the air—that’s part of the gig.

To take the dander out of the air and reduce the amount that falls on furniture and to the floor can only be done by continually filtering the air.

PurerAir.com offers a powerful HEPA (high efficiency particle arresting) air purifier that can virtually eliminate airborne dander before it has time to fall, and that also contains a carbon filter that can take out the doggie odors that can happen after your pooch goes for a romp in the woods or a swim.

Modular Home Chemical Smell

If you’ve just moved into a modular home there are many advantages to this type of dwelling. The newer models are bright, well equipped and centrally heated and air conditioned.

The down side is that often the materials used to manufacture these homes off gas chemicals that are harmful to breathe.

Adhesives used for tile, linoleum and carpet as well as pressed wood and other man made products can emit volatile organic chemicals. Because these homes are usually so well insulated air exchange is limited. So unless you keep the doors and windows open or continually filter the air, you are stuck with air that is literally sickening to you, your family, and your pets.

Symptoms of inhaling these volatile organic chemicals include burning eyes, headache, nausea, dry throat, dizziness, and an overall lack of energy. If these symptoms subside when you are not in your home (how awful is that?) then your body is almost certainly reacting to the air in your home.

PurerAir.com offers an air cleaner that is designed to continually (as in 24 hours a day) remove airborne chemicals that can off gas for months in mobile homes. Clear the air today so that you really can enjoy your home without feeling sick.

Cat Odor Air Purifier

You love your cat and your cat loves you--awesome! But if your cat’s odor is interfering with how well you enjoy your home, and how comfortable you feel entertaining in your home, it’s time to get an air purifier that can handle not only the odor (especially urine odor) but can pull the hair and dander out of the air as well.

Airborne hair and dander are best handled by a high efficiency particle arresting (or HEPA) filter. This type of filter is designed to remove particulates as small as .3 microns. A micron is defined as one millionth of a meter and is infinitely smaller than the period at the end of this sentence.

Not only will HEPA filtration remove cat related pollutants but other more normal household pollutants such as dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores, and dander from other warm blooded pets.

Carbon filters have proven to be the most effective at removing odors, and by adding a special additive to the carbon that is specifically designed to eliminate urine odor, PurerAir.com is able to offer a cat odor air purifier that can’t be beat.

Goldenrod and Ragweed Described

If you suffer from hay fever that is triggered by weed pollen, you will need to know how the various weeds look. When it comes to potency, ragweed rules. It is probably the most troublesome allergen in the fall. Its appearance is quite bland.

Goldenrod on the other hand is a very flashy weed that sends out beautiful yellow stalks. It’s actually very beautiful as a fall arrangement. And far fewer people are allergic to this weed.

Here are pictures of them both (goldenrod above and ragweed on the right). Take a walk around where you live to see what’s growing in your neighborhood.

Armed with pictures of these weeds, you can take great comfort in that fact that for every ragweed plant you cut down, you are decreasing the number of pollen grains by about one million.

And even though you can’t control the weed pollen outside, you can control it inside and manage your hay fever beautifully with the Hay Fever Air Purifier at http://purerair.com/hay_fever_air_purifier.html

Controlling Indoor Pollen Levels

Fall is a time when the pollen count climbs due to numerous weeds that start pollination about mid August. And even though it can continue until early November in many parts of the country, levels tend to peak around mid September.

If you suffer from allergies that are triggered by airborne pollen, it is impossible to avoid this allergen. And while you can’t control the count outdoors, you can certainly control it inside your home and office.

Because pollen is so light weight, it easily attaches to hair, clothing, and other articles that come inside with you. It can then go airborne and make itself available to be inhaled all over your home.

The only way to keep the count low enough to avoid allergy flare ups is to filter it from the air. An air cleaner with a high efficiency particle arresting (abbreviated as HEPA) filter is the most efficient type of filtration to handle the job.

Since its size ranges from 10 to 100 microns, a HEPA filter that by definition traps particulates that are .3 microns and larger can easily eliminate this allergen. This type of filter will also eliminate other household pollutants such as dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores and pet dander—all of which often work in concert with pollen to exacerbate allergies.

Sagebrush Allergies

Fall is allergy season for millions of people in the United States alone. August 15 is the unofficial beginning of the season and because most people are usually allergic to ragweed pollen, not much is heard about sagebrush.

But the fine black seeds from sagebrush can be just as difficult to live with for people with sensitivity to it. Like ragweed, it is a weed that grows in the summer and begins pollination in the fall and continues through the first frost.

It grows as a bush with woody stems and the foliage remains silvery green throughout most of the year. It can grow as high as 7 feet, and produces yellow or creamy white flowers in mid August. Pollination can send out as many as a million incredibly tiny black seeds into the air in a single season--all available to be inhaled.

This can lead to hay fever symptoms that include runny nose, watering and itchy eyes, post nasal drip, congestion, and coughing. And even though you can’t control the pollen count outside, you can control your air quality inside.

PurerAir.com offers an air purifier that can remove all kinds of airborne triggers from your home and office regardless of whether it is weed pollen in the fall, tree and flower pollen in the spring, or grass pollen in the summer.

Don’t let Sagebrush and hay fever spoil your fun this fall. See the medical grade high efficiency particle arresting (HEPA) air purifier that can improve your life now at http://purerair.com/hay_fever_air_purifier.html

Rabbit Hair Air Purifier

All warm-blooded animals shed hair and dander and rabbits are no exception. Because they are so lovable and cuddly, with all the hugging and petting you surely do, it’s not hard to send hair flying into the air.

Being able to keep the air clean despite your bunny love can keep your home looking and smelling clean, and keep those who are sensitive to the dander comfortable.

The best way to take and keep hair out of the air is to filter it constantly. And the best type of filtration for particulates is high efficiency particle arresting (or HEPA) filtration. Designed to remove particles that are .3 microns or greater, not only will it trap and eliminate the hair that is visible, but the invisible dander as well.

This type of filtration is safe for bunnies and people, and its only by-product is fresh clean air. Steel casing prevents your pet’s curiosity from becoming dangerous and a split capacitor motor allows it to run non-stop 24 hours whether you are home or not.

HEPA filtration will not only take out bunny-related pollutants but other normal household pollutants such as dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores, dander from other pets, pollen, bacteria and viruses. That’s quite a hit list of pollutants!

Fighting Formaldehyde Fumes

Myrna called last night. She has just moved into a brand new mobile home and she was in tears—devastated is the word she used.

Her home is off gassing formaldehyde and is causing a dry throat and a headache that hurts so bad she can hardly think. How awful is that?

She was told to stay someplace else for several weeks while the manufacturer tried to figure out why the fumes are so potent, but she has returned home to find no improvement in the smell. She said when she opens the windows and lets air circulate it is better. But this year the Pennsylvania weather has been incredibly hot and humid, so opening the windows during the day is not an option.

What does she think is causing the fumes? She says wherever there is carpet or cabinets the smell is almost unbearable. There is a central filtration system, but unfortunately it is not designed to remove formaldehyde.

Matching the pollutant with a purifier that is designed to remove it is critical if she is ever going to get relief. We have sent out our unit that is specifically designed to remove airborne chemicals and she will have it tomorrow.

I could hear the smile in her voice when she said, “I can’t wait to have my cup of coffee Saturday morning in a house with clean air!”

If your struggle is similar to Myrna’s you can see the unit we sent to her now at http://purerair.com/healthmate_plus.html
