Parrot Dander Dangers

If you have a parrot or any type of bird, you have dander.  If you have a powder-down bird such as an African Grey, Cockatoo, or Cockatiel you have bird dust as well.
These particles are constantly produced by birds, and unless proactive steps are taken to eliminate them the air quality suffers.  For people the result of breathing thick air is often an increased sensitivity where none previously existed.
This sensitivity often presents as sneezing, coughing, congestion, watering eyes, and a general feeling of being tired and uncomfortable.  It is the protein in the dander that can cause the onset of asthma, or exacerbate exiting respiratory conditions.
For birds, the danger of breathing air that is thick with dander and dust are even more perilous.  Birds have tiny air passages that clog easily.  When forced to breathe air that is not only thick with bird pollutants but regular household particles, it is easy to understand how their airways can become clogged.
Indoor spaces typically contain household dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores, bacteria, and viruses.  When inhaled by your avian friend it can mean the start of disease and infection that is often not able to be detected until it is too late to reverse.
The Bird Dust Air Purifier has 4 filters that are specifically designed to eliminate a wide range of particles from the visible to the microscopic.  And the best news is that the only by-product is fresh, clean air for you and your bird.

Loving Powder Down Parrots

If you are looking for a parrot to love, the sky is the limit in terms of color, personality, and size.  You will need to determine how much you want to have to clean up once you decide on the right bird.

If you decide on the Cockatoo, Cockatiel, or African Grey, they are all stunning choices.  They are intelligent, beautiful, and often live as long as 30, 50, or 70 years.
What you should know is that they produce a white powder that often covers everything in sight like a blanket of snow.  This wing dust is an essential part of their growth and development, but is bad news for air quality.
Because birds have such tiny air passages, it does not take long for their airways to become block particularly if they are forced to breathe air that is laden with particles.
This situation is no better for humans.  It can exacerbate existing respiratory conditions such as allergies and asthma.  And it can cause the onset of respiratory issues where none existed.
The most reliable way to clear the air is to filter it with filters that are designed to eliminate a variety of particle sizes.
The Bird Dust Air Purifier offers a 4-stage filtration process that can eliminate particles you can see (like the dust) as well as the invisible dander that can also trigger flare-ups.
So, go ahead and fall in love, the Bird Dander Air Purifier will get the dust.  See it now at http://purerair.com/bird_dust_air_purifier.html

Bird Owner's Air Purifier

If you own a bird or three, you know that you have a lot more particles in the air than most folk do.  Although their colorful appearance and personalities surely make it all worthwhile for you!

But keeping the air clear with an air purifier is a must for the continued good health of your avian friends and you.

The first thing an air purifier must be is safe.  The only by-product you should allow your filtration to produce is fresh air.  Don’t risk any amount of ozone or ionized particles.
These filtration methods are controversial and different studies show different results. There is no sense taking a chance until all agree on what the effects are.
The cleaner needs to be able to stack the deck against particles by having multiple sized filters.  The filters need to be able to eliminate the visible to invisible particles from the air.
The unit also needs to be able to run continuously to keep particulates from building to levels that are unhealthy for birds and humans.
From the birds’ perspective, having to continually inhale air that is thick with particles clogs their tiny air passages. This often opens the door to disease and infection which can shorten their lives.
For humans, air thick with particles can exacerbate existing respiratory conditions such as asthma and allergies, and can also cause the onset of problems where none existed.
PurerAir.com offers the Bird Dust Air Purifier that can keep you and your bird healthier.  See it now at http://purerair.com/bird_dust_air_purifier.html

African Grey Air Purifier

African Greys are some of the most beautiful and intelligent parrots to have as pets.

Many can speak fluently, and with proper care they can live over 50 years.

Part of helping them enjoy a long and healthy life is about providing fresh air that is free of particles and odors.

Their respiratory systems are very sensitive to odors, and their air passages are easily clogged because they are so small.  Unfortunately, once symptoms occur that signal illness, it is often too late to reverse the condition.

The fact that these birds are powder down birds only adds to the challenge that you as an owner face in keeping the air clear.  All birds, in fact all warm-blooded animals, produce dander or dead skin flakes.

But in addition to dander, the white powder that Greys produce can be daunting to keep under control.  But it is essential to minimize the powder and dander if you and your bird are to remain healthy.

An air cleaner that can stand up to this kind of particulate nightmare needs lots of different sized filters that can trap airborne particulates.
The recipe for success in terms of filters should go like this--pre-filters for big and medium particles, a HEPA or high efficiency particle arresting filter for micron-size particles like dander, and a filter for odors, gases, and airborne chemicals that can also trap particles.

This purifier extraordinaire should also rise above controversy and produce zero ozone and no ionized particles.  Fresh air should be the only by-product.

PurerAir.com offers such an air purifier for African Greys.  See it now at http://purerair.com/bird_dust_air_purifier.html

Control African Grey Dust

If you have an African Grey Parrot , you have a beautiful, smart, and dusty bird. The white powder that settles over everything can be daunting. The dust is a never ending process that helps support the health of their wings.

Not only is the dust unsightly, but unhealthy for you and your bird. Continually breathing air that is thick with particles can clog their incredibly tiny air passages.

Clogged airways often allow disease and infection to gain a foothold. And unfortunately it is often impossible to reverse the disease.

For humans this powder can aggravate existing respiratory problems such as allergies and asthma, and it can also cause problems for those who formerly had none.

Filtering the air is the best, most reliable, yet non-invasive way to reliably take particles, odors, and gases out of the air before they affect your bird’s health. And it is important that the air cleaner be able to effectively eliminate both gaseous and particulate pollutants.

The Bird Dust Air Purifier from Purer Air.com is specifically designed with 4 filters to target particles that vary in size from those you can see down to those that are sub-micron in size. And because the 4th filter is carbon cloth, it can remove both gaseous pollutants as well as particulates.

Not only is this air cleaner used by thousands of homeowners with African Grey Parrots and other powder down birds, but it is also used by commercial aviaries such as the Aviary at Theater of the Sea in Islamorada, Florida and the Joshua Rescue Foundation for Birds.

African Grey Parrot Dust

If you own an African Grey Parrot, you’ve got one of the smartest birds on earth. They are beautiful, and the white wing dust that goes everywhere is part of the reason their wings stay healthy and look so gorgeous.

Greys are referred to as powder down birds because of this dust that helps keep their wings healthy; but it can sure make a mess around your house.

This powder is a fact of life for you for as long as you have your bird, and there is no way to completely eliminate it.

You can drastically reduce the amount you find on furniture and floors by continually filtering the air with a cleaner that is specifically designed to eliminate large amounts of particulates.

Literally clearing the air is not just a good idea because it will make your place look better, it really is for the birds! Breathing air that is thick with particles makes it more likely that their air passages will become clogged. And air passages that are constricted often make conditions right for disease and infection gain a foothold.

PurerAir.com offers an air cleaner that is used by professional aviaries because of its ability to clear the air. It's designed with a 4-stage filtration process that traps particles from the ones you can like dust and feathers, to ones that you can’t see like dander, bacteria and viruses.

African Grey Air Purifier

If you’re lucky enough to own an African Grey Parrot, you have an incredibly beautiful, intelligent and potentially long-lived bird. Opening your home to this bird is not only a monetary investment but a daily investment of time, and love.

Making sure your bird stays healthy and enjoys the best quality of life means managing the dust that they create, not just for your sake but for theirs as well. Because birds have such small air passages, they can easily become clogged. This can lead to disease and infection.

In the wild birds are programmed to hide symptoms of illness for as long as possible to avoid being attacked. But this is bad news for their owners because once the problem progresses to the stage where you observe symptoms, it is often too late to help.

Clearing the air of the white powder dust they constantly produce is one of the most important things you can do to keep your bird healthy. Clean air is right up there with food and water. And even though you may use filters for your central heating and air conditioning, they are often no match for the incredible amount of powder Greys produce.

Constantly filtering the air with a heavy duty portable air purifier that can run 24 hours a day and be placed in the room with your bird is essential. Not only will it keep your bird’s air passages clear, but yours as well.

PurerAir.com offers the Bird Dust Air Purifier that has filters specifically designed to remove large volumes of airborne particulates including bird dust and dander. Eliminating this dust will also reduce the amount that you will need to clean from other surfaces in the room.

Bird Dust Air Purifier

If you share your home with an African Grey, Cockatoo, or Cockatiel you have a beautiful and exotic companion. But in addition to the love and affection you receive, these parrots all produce a white powder or dust that constantly coats everything in the bird room.

Dusting to clean the room simply stirs up the dust and vacuuming can often do the same. And whereas the dust doesn’t look that great, it can be a health hazard to you, your family and your bird.

Nothing will completely eliminate bird dust because it is a natural part of your bird’s growth and development. But using a high efficiency particle arresting (or HEPA) air filter will greatly reduce the amount in the air and thus the amount you see on the surfaces in your room.

Taking particulates out of the air whether it is dust or dander is one of the best ways to keep your bird’s air passages clear. And the clearer their airways remain the less chance that disease and infection will strike.

Many of these parrots have life spans that rival humans. Insuring that they have clean air to breathe will give you and your bird the best quality of life possible.
