Removing Airborne Pet Dander

One of the biggest advantages of a warm-blooded pet is that they are warm and fuzzy and lovely to snuggle with.

One of the big disadvantages of these warm, furry creatures is that they shed dander continually.

Cats, dogs, birds, bunnies, ferrets all shed these fine flakes of dead skin  as their bodies make way for newer healthier skin that is more effective at defending their bodies against disease and infection.
Many pet owners believe that you can see dander when in fact it is invisible to the human eye.  It is also sticky and can adhere to the pet’s hair or feathers.  It also sticks to larger and more usual airborne particles such as household dust.
The protein in the dander is a powerful allergen that can cause owners with existing respiratory problems such as allergies and asthma to become unable to tolerate their own pet.
The most effective way is to literally keep the dander count low and the air quality high is to clean the air with a high efficiency particle arresting or HEPA filter, and a unit that can clean 24 hours is essential.
The Pet Dander Air Purifier has not only a HEPA filter, but 3 other filters for particles as well as a split capacitor motor that allows it to run 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Pet Holiday Safety

If you love a pet, you know that they are as much a part of the holiday as the dearest family member.

The absolute last thing you want is to lose a precious companion during the holidays.  So here are a few precautions to take.

Put foods away when you are not around to supervise.  Given enough incentive even the most well-mannered pets can be driven to food that is fatal because of its smell or visual lure.  This includes permanently securing the garbage can so that bones, sharp cans and/or glass can’t be ingested or lodged in the throat.
Guard against choking hazards.  These span the gamut from small toys to screws, pins, tree hangers, and small ornaments.  While this may be easier said than done, the extra visual and physical sweep of the floor can literally add years of holidays to your pet’s life.
Be careful with the chords.  The holidays seem to call for cords everywhere.  And since most of these are in evidence only during the holidays, they are new and can be fascinating to your pet.
Most pets explore with their mouths and paws both of which can be deadly.  Watch your pet around the cords and use your voice to discourage any interest they might show.
Reward them with your voice when they leave it alone. If interest persists, enclose the wires in a plastic cable or tuck them out of sight as best you can.
As one who did not grow up with pets, no one is more surprised at the deep and abiding love pets generate in my heart and I’m sure in yours.  So be on guard with these tips to keep your pets safe and your heart in one piece!

Dog Allergy Relief

If you think your dog is the cause of sneezing, coughing, and watering eyes, chances are you are allergic the dander that it is constantly shedding.  What do you do now?

One of the best ways to manage allergies and reduce symptoms is to avoid the trigger.
And one of the most common triggers for those suffering from allergic reactions to pets is the protein in the dander that they are constantly shedding.
If your pet goes outside for any length of time, you are also probably being exposed to mold and mildew spores, seasonal pollen, dust, and anything else that can hitch a ride in on their coats.
One shake once they are indoors, and voila, your air is filled with all kinds of allergens. Once these particles are all mixed together in the air and being inhaled by you, who really knows for sure which one is responsible for your symptoms.
The most reliable way to literally clear the air is to filter it with a high efficiency particle arresting (or HEPA) filter that can remove airborne particulates as small as .3 microns.
The Pet Dander Air Purifier from PurerAir.com offers 4 filters for particles including a HEPA.  Not only can these filters remove dog-related allergens, but those that originate both indoors and outdoors.

Preventing Allergies To Cats

Unfortunately, there is no way to totally prevent allergies of any kind.  But a universal truth about allergies that can help is to avoid the trigger.  With cats the irritant is generally the dander.  Many mistake cat hair as an allergen when this is not true at all.

The microscopic flakes of dead skin (dander) are the usual culprit for pet owners who find their bodies going into overdrive when they are near their cat and/or in a space that is regularly occupied by a feline companion.
It’s sticky stuff so it attaches to everything including clothes, hair, cat hair, and other more usual household pollutants such as plain old dust.  It can stick to walls and furniture that your cat frequents. So bottom line, it can be a nightmare.
Continually filtering the dander and the particles it attaches to is one of the most effective ways to effectively reduce the amount available to be inhaled.

The best type of filter to deal with these microscopic particles is a HEPA or high efficiency particle arresting filter.
By definition this type of filter must be able to remove 99.97% of airborne particles that are .3 microns or larger.  And the advantage is that the only by-product is fresh air.  No worries about ozone or ionized particles causing problems for you or your pet.
The Cat Dander Air Purifier is the perfect fit for this situation.  See it now at http://purerair.com/cat_dander_air_purifier.html

Reducing African Grey Dust

African Grey parrots are some of the most gorgeous birds in the world.  They are not only good-looking, but intelligent, and many are able to speak with understanding.

But if you have one of these birds, I know I'm preaching to the choir.

Like all warm-blooded creatures they shed dander, but because they are powder-down birds, they also shed a white powder that can be daunting to control.

So between the normal household particles, the dander, and the additional wing dust that they create, the number of particles increases exponentially because of their presence.
Unless this dust is continually removed, the air will become clogged with particles making it impossible to get a clean breath of air.
Because their air passages are so small, continually breathing these particles will cause their airways to become constricted.  This is very often the start of disease and infection that is often impossible to reverse.
These additional particles can also cause problems for healthy humans and can exacerbate respiratory conditions such as asthma and allergies.
The only way to keep air quality high and particulate levels low is to continually filter the air with a high efficiency particle arresting filter.
This type of filter is not only efficient but safe.  By definition it must be able to remove 99,997 out of every 10,000 airborne particles that are .3 microns or greater in size.
The only by-product this type of filtration produces is clean air.  There are no worries about ionized particles or ozone.
PurerAir.com offers the Bird Dust Air Purifier that has a 4-stage filtration process to trap particles ranging from the visible to invisible.
If you have an African Grey, you owe it to you and your bird to clear the air.  See the Bird Dust Air Purifier from PurerAir.com now at http://purerair.com/bird_dust_air_purifier.html
