Filter For Ferret Smell

Joanie’s dad called yesterday.  She has come back from college and has a pet ferret in her room.  So not only does her room smell, but the whole house does too.

When I asked what the smell was, he said it was a combination of a musky odor and urine too.  He obviously loves his daughter, the ferret odor, not so much.

Joanie’s dad has had to learn first-hand that these animals are becoming increasingly popular as household pets.  They are intelligent, cute and small enough to fit into many people’s lives.

Without a reliable way to remove the smell, the air in any home can simply smell unpleasant at best and offensive to family and friends.

In order to reliably remove the smell these animals create, an air cleaner with a heavy duty carbon filter is necessary.  And even as effective as carbon is at eliminating odors, when it comes to urine, an additive (ammonasorb) to eliminate the strong smell of ammonia that off-gases from urine is a must.

PurerAir.com offers an air cleaner that comes with 15 pounds of activated carbon plus the ammonasorb additive.  It also contains 2 pre-filters for large and medium size particles, and a HEPA filter for microscopic particles.

That means the air is sent through a 4 stage filtration process and sends 250 cubic feet of clean smelling air back at you every 60 seconds.  And the best part is that is does not need to rest.

Ferret smell doesn’t rest and this cleaner won’t need to either.  See it now at http://purerair.com/austin_air_pet_machine.html

Eliminating Ferret Odor

The popularity of ferrets as pets continues to increase.  They are amusing creatures and can easily adapt in captivity.  What is sometimes hard to manage is the odor that they give off.

It is a very distinctive scent that those who visit may not find attractive.  Sometimes urine smell can also be a part of the problem.

What is needed is an air purifier that can deal with both of these smells as well as hair and dander that they produce.

A HEPA or high efficiency particle arresting filter is a perfect fit for airborne particulates, and a carbon filter with an additive for the removal of the ammonia in urine is necessary to be effective against odors and particularly urine.

The Pet Machine Air Purifier from PurerAir.com is used in Ferrets For Soule Rescue, and will be effective in your home as well.

Eliminating Ferret Musk Smell

The increasing popularity of ferrets as pets is concrete evidence that they make great household companions.

What is not so great is the musky smell that they often emit. And sometimes there can even be a urine smell that accompanies it.

As the proud owner, you may no longer notice the smell, but others entering your home will not be as lucky.

Ferret odor can be very strong and off-putting, and really down right embarrassing when family, neighbors and friends visit.

The only way to minimize the odor is to continually filter the air with an air cleaner that contains carbon. Long known for its ability to remove gaseous pollutants, it is the most effective solution for this problem. And enhancing the carbon with an additive that is specifically designed to remove the ammonia component in urine is the best way to be prepared should the problem arise.

PurerAir.com offers a cleaner that not only has an enhanced carbon filter, but 3 filters for eliminating hair and dander as well as a HEPA (high efficiency particle arresting) filter for eliminating particulates including bacteria and viruses down to .3 microns in size.

We continue to send this cleaner to ferret rescue shelters; and if works for them, it will surely work for you. Love your ferret and lose the smell with help from the air purifier at http://purerair.com/austin_air_pet_machine.html

Got Ferret Dander Allergies?

If you have a ferret, you have dander. And if you are allergic to ferret dander the protein component is probably what is causing the problem. Because all warm-blooded animals produce dander, your sensitivity will most likely continue for as long as you have your pets, which hopefully will be for a long, long time.

So how can you deal with your sensitivities to this very natural phenomenon and still enjoy your pets? One of the easiest and least invasive ways is to filter your air. Constant filtration will greatly reduce the amount of dander in the air. This helps you manage your allergies by dealing with the problem rather than treating the symptoms.

There is an air purifier that is specifically designed to remove not only airborne dander (which is what you are able to inhale or ingest), but hair and odor. This cleaner is effective because it uses high efficiency particle arresting (or HEPA) filtration which removes particulates as small as .3 microns.

And because the HEPA filter will also filter other common indoor pollutants such as dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores, dander from other pets, bacteria and viruses, it can help your allergies by removing a wide variety of triggers.

In addition to HEPA filtration, this unit also has a filter designed to remove odor, including urine odor. This is an important feature to have with any pet because, as you know, mistakes happen. And to top it all off, it comes standard with heavy duty casters which make it very portable.

PurerAir.com continues to supply this air cleaner to Ferrets for Soule Rescue Shelter, Sandra’s Second Chance Cat Sanctuary and many other professionals and individuals who love animals and share their lives with them.
