Golden Retriever Dander

Golden retrievers like all warm blooded animals have dander.

These small dead flakes of skin are nature’s way of making room for newer healthier skin that is more able to fight off disease and infection.

Dander production will continue as long as you have your dog, so learning to deal with it effectively will make your lives together more enjoyable. Dander is invisible, but if you are allergic to it you don’t ever need to see it to know it’s there.

The protein in these flakes is the offending element and can cause those who are sensitive to it to experience symptoms that range from irritating to debilitating, and in worse cases, life threatening.

A regular routine of bathing, proper diet, and regular grooming of your Golden can reduce the amount that is available to be inhaled or ingested by you and your family. But one of the best and most effective ways to get rid of it is by filtering the air with a high efficiency particle arresting (or HEPA) filter.

In addition to dander, Goldens are famous for the hair that they shed as well, and filtering the air will take the hair out of the air.

They are wonderful, intelligent, and beautiful dogs that are worth their weight in gold! Have you guessed what kind of dog I own? Ok, back to business!
