Filtering Cockatoo Dust Effectively

Cockatoos are gorgeous birds, not only in looks but in the intelligence and companionship they offer. What is not so much fun is the white, powdery wing dust they produce.

This is a normal part of the Cockatoo’s growth and development, but it can sure make it hard to keep your space clean.

The wing dust is in addition to the dander that all warm-blooded birds and animals produce. These fine particulates can stay suspended in the air for quite a while which makes them hazardous to your bird’s health as well as yours.

Birds’ air passages are tiny and as such are easily clogged. Once clogged, this can cause the onset of disease and infection. Since birds instinctively hide illness, once they exhibit symptoms it is often too late to reverse the disease. Restricted air passages often cause the early demise of many birds.

As for humans, this dust and dander can trigger allergy and asthma attacks in those who already have respiratory problems. And constant exposure to so much of it can precipitate respiratory problems for those who were previously healthy.

These airborne particles can become carriers for small pieces of fecal material as well as bacteria and viruses. This is not healthy air for anyone!

PurerAir.com offers a Bird Dust Air Purifier that is specifically designed to remove the huge number of particulates that Cockatoos generate. See it now at http://purerair.com/bird_dust_air_purifier.html
