Paint Fumes And HEPA Filters

If you are trying to minimize paint fumes a high efficiency particle arresting (HEPA) filter will not help.

As its name says, it is a filter that is highly efficient at removing particles, and by definition can remove airborne particulates as small as .3 microns in size.

A carbon filter is what is needed to remove gaseous pollutants such as those that various types of paints can off-gas.  As effective as carbon is at removing gases, odors, and airborne chemicals, when he comes to volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) that paint fumes can send into the air, it needs help
An additive such as potassium iodide is needed to enhanced the carbon’s ability to remove these heavy duty chemicals from the air.
PurerAir.com offers a cleaner that contains 15 pounds of activated carbon zeolite with a potassium iodide additive.  The carbon filter is one of 4 filters in the canister contained in this unit that offers filtration of both gaseous fumes as well as particulates.
Guaranteed for 5 years, the filter is low maintenance and comes with a motor that will allow it to filter the air 24 hours a day every day.
Let the HealthMate Plus Air Purifier from PurerAir.com take out your paint fumes today and every day.  See it now at http://purerair.com/healthmate_plus.html
