Bird Owners’ Air Filter

Clean air to a bird and its owner is just as important as fresh water, and the right food. Birds are incredibly susceptible to pollutants in the air, and over time clogged air passages can lead to disease and infection. Because of their instinct to hide illness, by the time the problem becomes obvious it is often too late to reverse the damage.

Birds are not created equal when it comes to the particulates they produce. All birds shed dander (invisible flakes of dead skin), but powder down birds such as African Greys, Cockatoos, and Cockatiels also shed a white powder.

Being forced to breathe these particles daily is unhealthy for birds and humans. For humans it can exacerbate existing respiratory conditions such as asthma and allergies. And it can make it tough for you to really enjoy your bird because being around it triggers scary symptoms. Children and older adults are particularly vulnerable when breathing such large amounts of pollutants.

These huge numbers of bird-related particles get added to the usual household pollutants such as dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores, dander from other pets, as well as airborne bacteria and viruses.

Unless you actively filter these particles from the air, they simply get blown around with no way to systematically get rid of them and clear the air.

That’s why an air purifier with multiple filters for particles is essential for birds and their owners. HEPA or high efficiency particle arresting filtration is an effective solution. Designed to remove 99.97% of the airborne particulates that are .3 microns or greater in size, it can easily eliminate both the visible and invisible irritants.
