Birds and HEPA Filters

If you share your life with a bird, you probably have constant entertainment and lots of reasons to smile. You probably also have far more particles in the air than the normal home.

And if your bird is a powder down bird such an African Grey, Cockatoo, or Cockatiel in addition to feathers, dust, and dander, you also know about the white wing dust they produce.

Sometimes when the household pollutants such as dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores, and seasonal pollen combine with the bird-related particles, it can seem as though you’re fighting a losing battle.

Without a reliable way to clear the air of these particles, the air is never clean.

So using a high efficiency particle arresting (or HEPA) filter is an ideal filter for this situation. By definition it must be able to remove 99,997 out of every 10,000 particles that are .3 microns or greater in size. And a micron is defined as one millionth of a meter.

PurerAir.com offers a filter that is designed for particles removal. Not only does it have a HEPA but 3 additional filters for getting rid of a wide range of particle sizes.
