Dog Urine Odor

Regardless of the reason, walking in to a home, or kennel that reeks of dog urine can be very “off putting”! And whether you have 1 dog or 21, being able to keep the air smelling fresh can be a huge challenge.

There are lots of reasons that inappropriate urination occurs. They range from as simple as not having access to the outdoors, to more serious conditions such as diabetes or kidney problems.

Being able to properly neutralize the odor is important, but often there are places that cannot be cleaned without a major re-do.

For example, if urine gets through to the sub-flooring under carpet, or soaks into the drywall, you would need to rip up the carpet, replace the sub-flooring under the carpet and take out the drywall, have it taped, and painted.

All of these are major expenses that may need to be repeated if you have a canine that is incontinent or you’re dealing with puppies that don’t understand the rules of the house.

One of the best ways to control urine smell is to filter the air with a filtration system that is specifically designed to take out urine and more specifically ammonia.

PurerAir.com offers such a purifier to dog kennels, doggie daycare facilities, and thousands of dog lovers in the United States and Canada.
