Babies And Asthma

One of the toughest things to watch is a baby struggling for air for any reason. If it’s your baby and the struggle is due to asthma, reducing exposure to triggers is one of the best things you can do.

Asthma triggers are generally a combination of gaseous and particulate pollutants. Dust, dust mites, mold and mildews spores, and pet dander. Gaseous pollutants can result from decorating the nursery and things like paint fumes, wallpaper adhesive, new furniture and new carpet.

The ideal cleaner should be able to eliminate both gaseous and particulate pollutants. The best filters to have would be a HEPA or high efficiency particle arresting filter and a carbon based filter.

PurerAir.com offers an air purifier that contains both a HEPA filter that can eliminate particles as small as .3 microns in size and carbon cloth. Carbon cloth is able to eliminate both gaseous and particulate pollutants. The carbon takes care of the gases and the fact that the filter is woven means it gives extra protection against particles.
