Your Child’s Air

One of the best things you can give to your child is a home filled with clean, fresh air. Unfortunately, how clean you keep your house has very little to do with keeping your child’s air clean.

There are so many factors that we have very little control over. Household dust is generated by minute pieces of fabric, dust and sand blown in from the outdoors through windows and doors are just of the few ways that dust accumulates.

Dust mites are impossible to get rid of and make their home in your child’s bed. They multiply easily, and while they are invisible to the naked eye, they wreak havoc with a child with allergies and asthma. A dust mite population that goes unchecked is more likely to increase the chances of the onset of asthma in children.

Regardless of where you live, there is pollination occuring. Whether it’s the trees in early spring, grass in the summer months, or weeds in the fall, airborne pollen is available to enter your home through every portal. If your child is allergic, even your home is not safe from it.

A home with pets is a great place experience for children. If, however, pet dander aggravates pediatric allergies, asthma or other respiratory conditions, having to give up a pet to get rid of pet dander is an excruciating choice to have to make.

Your child is exposed to hundred of germs in day care, preschool, or full day school, and bringing these germs home by sneezing and coughing them into the air exposes everyone in your home to the germs.

But there is a way to provide your child and your family with clean air in your home 24 hours every day. An air cleaner with a HEPA or high efficiency particle arresting filter can take out dust, dust mites, pollen, pet dander, as well as bacteria and viruses as small as .3 microns.
