Portable Parrot Dander Filter

Eliminating dander from the air that your parrot breathes is crucial to its good health and quality of life.

In-house filters are often not equipped with filters that can adequately eliminate these microscopic pieces of dead skin.

All birds shed dander and this is a very natural way for their bodies to make way for newer, healthier skin that is better able to protect them against disease and infection.

This is a process that will continue for as long as you have your bird.

As long as the amount of dander in the air is kept to a minimum it is not harmful. It is only when the levels reach such high concentrations that it can cause problems.

For birds that are forced to continually breathe these particles because of the lack of clean air, it can clog their air passages. And clogged air passages are often the start of disease and infection.

In humans it is the protein in the dander that often triggers allergies and asthma. Constant exposure to it can cause sneezing, coughing, congestion, runny nose and watery eyes.

Clearing the air is healthy for both birds and humans and airborne particles are best removed with a HEPA or high efficiency particle arresting filter. By definition, this type of technology must remove 99.97% of particles that are .3 microns or greater in size.

It can also remove normal household particles as well including dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores, and dander from other pets.
